Fig Workshop w/ Martha Burgess

This accessible video class is a great way to learn about the figs that can be grown here in Tucson and the greater Sonoran Desert. Martha Burgess explores the botanical characteristics of several varieties of figs found at the garden, nutritional aspects of figs, and culinary uses. Learn more & purchase
Lime Hydrosol Workshop w/ Martha Burgess (Recorded Video) $25
Hydrosols are gently fragrant, water-based distillations that can be used in refreshing sprays, cosmetics, and aromatherapies. Using Mission Garden’s fragrant Mexican sweet lime fruits, this class teaches you principles and methods for making a hydrosol.

Wildflower Class *CLASS FULL*
*CLASS FULL* A PowerPoint show followed by a nature walk through the garden with Pinau Merlin. Limited to 15 people. Price is $35. After the show we’ll meander the garden on a nature walk to admire the wildflowers, look at birds and their nests, find desert holes and discuss the various uses of some of our native plants. Standing Yoga at Mission Garden - March
Begin your morning garden experience with a standing yoga class in the beauty of the garden. Join instructor Coco Bopp in moving through strengthening, stretching, and balance postures; gardening mountains, warriors, trees, crescent lunges, and Ganeshes (elephants) to remove obstacles, to name a few. Heritage Fruit Trees and Backyard Propagation Class
Mission Garden has heritage fruit trees of many varieties. Have you ever wondered how to grow new heritage fruit trees in your own yard? Every year in February Jesús García teaches how to grow new Kino Heritage Fruit Trees from the ones at the Garden. Learn about the amazing origins of the Garden's heritage trees, how to take cuttings, and how to root those cuttings to grow new trees. All class members will go home with some cuttings!
