Recorded at Mission Garden during the palo verdes’ active bloom and fruiting times, ethnobotanist Martha Burgess explores the three native species of palo verde that grow locally (foothills, blue, Mexican) and two other palo verdes grown ornamentally (palo brea and the Desert Museum Hybrid) in the Tucson area.
