Tasting History: Pumpkins and Squash
In the “Placita” outside Mission Garden’s kitchen
FREE and open to the public, for all ages
Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9
9am-11am both days
This November, join Mission Garden and Iskashitaa Refugee Network as we share pumpkin and squash tastes and recipes! Try dishes from the Sonoran Desert and around the world. Try tastes from the garden and learn about O’odham Ha:l squash, which thrives in our region.
Tasting History is an interactive, drop-in, family friendly program. Each month, we highlight a different desert-adapted crop from the garden. Come try tastes, get new recipes, and get growing and care tips. Learn more about Tucson through the people and plants that shape our home.
Thank you to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona for their generous support for this event.
