Press & Media Requests
Information to Visiting Journalists
Please use the form below to request a visit to Mission Garden as a journalist, photographer, or videographer. We make every effort to accommodate your interest in seeing the garden and your professional work in the media industry.
Times & Tours
We are often able to give visiting journalists a tour of the garden. We prefer to do this during the hours we are open to the public, which are 8am - 2pm October through March, and 8am - noon April through September. There may be times when we can host visitors outside these hours, if absolutely necessary.
Fee
Normally there will be no charge because we welcome media coverage of Mission Garden. But in circumstances in which your media coverage may include special needs, elaborate demonstrations, examples of food and drink, or extensive amounts of time, we may find it necessary to require a fee. In some cases a certificate of co-insured may be requested.
Policies
Photo Release Form
Photographers and videographers may need to request a photo release from anyone in the garden who appears in photos.
Interviewing and photographing Native American partners
In consultation with our Native American partners, we request that no photography or video be taken of Native American individuals without their permission. Also, when interviewing and quoting or synthesizing information provided by Native American experts, that the full name of the expert be referenced as the source of the information or quote.
Photo Requests from the Mission Garden Collection
You may request photographs from our own collection. If used, please credit the photographer and "courtesy Friends of Tucson's Birthplace."
