The Tasting History event for August is canceled. Staff and volunteers are focusing on damage control after the July 14th storm. Extreme hail and wind destroyed Mission Garden trees, crops, and shade structures. Re-planting many of the crops and repairing pathways for accessibility are priorities.
A heartfelt thank you to the community for supporting Mission Garden during this time. We are reminded of the significant role our agricultural community holds in ensuring traditional, arid-adapted foods and cultural knowledge continue to be passed down in the presence of climate change.
