Tasting History: Corn

In the “Placita” outside Mission Garden’s kitchen

FREE and open to the public, for all ages

Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12

9am-11am both days

Learn more about Tucson through the people and plants that shape our home. Tasting History is an interactive, drop-in, family friendly program. Each month, we highlight a different desert-adapted crop from the garden. Come try tastes, get new recipes, and get growing and care tips.

This October, we are sharing tastes of corn from the garden. Learn recipes for traditional Spanish cornbread and try chicos, a dried and roasted corn dish, made with Tohono O’odham 60-day corn.

Come explore the diversity!

RSVP or share the event on Facebook! Friday’s event and Saturday’s event can each be found there.
