Activity this month: Atlatls--spear throwers
Allen Denoyer of Archaeology Southwest does Hands-on Archaeology programs every fourth Saturday of the month (during cool months). Allen is an expert preservation archaeologist, specializing in how ancient technologies like atl-atls, arrowheads, and ground stone were made and used. Test your skill throwing a spear at a target with a spear-thrower. This event is ideal for children.
Each month there will be a different demonstration. Archaeology Southwest is a Tucson-based, non-profit fostering meaningful connections to the past and respectfully safeguarding irreplaceable resources in the Southwest.
