Bill Du Pont
Bill was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and is a descendent of Jose Ignacio Moraga, the first Commander of the Tucson Presidio in 1791. He received his B.A. from the University of Arizona in Education and has a specialty in Special Education. He recently retired after 50 years in retail as management and a training specialist in Southern Arizona. Bill served as president of Colonia Solana neighborhood for 30 years and remains a neighborhood advocate. He served on the Arizona State Liquor Board for 13 years as the State’s Neighborhood Representative and has served on various City committees. Bill was the Founding Chair of Friends of Tucson’s Birthplace and remains grateful to all those that served on the Board and volunteered for this organization through the years. Bill and his wife, Denise, have one daughter, Alex.
