Yvonne Fortier

Yvonne is a consultant, licensed counselor, cultural trainer, teacher, advocate and mentor/advisor to learners. She serves as Chairperson for the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, SA Academic Review Committee, and President of Arizona Association of Addiction Professionals (AAAP). Yvonne has mentored in cultural and indigenous healing practices, cross-cultural helping, and professional development, for more than 20 years. Yvonne is committed to projects and activities that build programs and leaders in diverse communities. She trains and educates in treatment issues, related to mental health and addiction, and in historical and collective trauma. Yvonne is dedicated to community service work, locally, regionally and nationally, served on workgroups and boards, to advance minority and indigenous clinical care standards and practices, and promotes health equity, inclusion, and collective frameworks that support nature-based healing, social issues, and justice.
