Have you thought of having your own chickens? There are challenges to keeping chickens in our climate and building the right kind of coop. Join Genevieve O’Gorman, chicken expert, for this class about caring for chickens.
The class will start at Mission Garden’s chicken coop, and then go inside for an illustrated presentation. Genevieve will discuss building coops, how to keep chickens cool, and predator exclusion. Mission Garden’s coop is one example and she’ll point out strengths and weaknesses.
Genevieve will talk about keeping chickens cool in the summer, how to feed them, how to diagnose and treat health problems, and the best way to add chickens to an existing flock.
